A project that showcases masters of traditional Japanese martial arts (budo) and performing arts (geido) by turning their skills into 3D data rendering by using 4D View, a new technology that captures real time 3D data. Viewers can gain insight into their craft through video and in 3D using Web GL.

Japanese traditional martial arts have been inherited and polished generation after generation. Trough data visualization this project aims to broadcast concepts such as spirituality, technique and form as , turning them into "tangible culture" for future generations breaking out cultural borders. The technique and work of various “way” gurus are captured as 4D Views in real time. By accurately grasping detailed movements which could not be grasped by conventional techniques, we introduce the spiritual behaviors of experts with images and 3D representation with Web GL.
Birdman is responsible for total direction of Web and opening video, design, implementation, system, shooting, CG, editing.
